Poetry Night

Poetry nights are unique opportunities for developing an emerging literary culture. These performances, which we call Poetry of Palestine, not only provide a literary space for poets to share their work with enthusiastic audiences but also create an opportunity for new talent to share their work during the open mic segment which follows the programmed show. Performances are located at a local café in Ramallah, creating an informal environment and encouraging audience and poets to interact after the event.
These events allow the Palestine Writing Workshop to let new audiences know about our work and announce upcoming trainings and new resources also. We look forward to creating poetry series in other locations and as we encourage young poets, perhaps this can become a monthly poetry-fest!
